We go on a coach outing to Holland Park, west central London.
An early spring trip to Holland Park where you can visit the Kyoto Japanese garden or take a short walk into Kensington Palace Gardens and see the Princess Diana playground and memorial fountain. The area has so much to see with many free museums and up market shops, including Harrods all within a short walk. You will be given a map of the area.
We leave Steyning Fletchers Croft car park at 8.30am and return from London at 4.30pm arriving back in Steyning at 6.30pm. The cost is £16 per head and includes travel and map. All suggested places to visit are free entry. Payment please by 9th March 2018 to Charles.
Ramster Gardens and Titsey Place Garden.
Today we go to Ramster Garden, Chiddingfold, to see the Rhododendrons and Azaleas. We then go to Guildford for lunch and in the afternoon visit Titsey Pace Garden near Oxted Surrey. This is a large Manor House with stunning gardens in the countryside on the North Downs that is run by a charitable trust and is open on limited days of the year.
We leave Steyning Fletchers Croft Car Park at 9.00am and return from Titsey Place at 4.30 pm arriving back in Steyning by 5.30 pm. The cost is £26 per head and includes coach travel and entrance to both gardens. Strong shoes are advised as Ramster paths may be slippery. Payment please by 4th April 2018 to Charles.
We go to Winchester and Mottisfont Abbey N/Trust.
Members have requested this trip. We travel to Winchester for a coffee stop and brief visit and then onto Mottisfont to see the gardens and roses. The house and an art exhibition are free to view. Food is available but I am told it is a lovely place for a picnic.
We leave Steyning Fletchers Croft car park at 8.30 am and return from Mottisfont at 4.30 pm arriving back in Steyning at 6.00 pm. The cost is £25 per head or £14.50p for N/T members. Price includes coach travel and garden entrance. Payment please by 4th April 2018 to Charles.
Henley-on-Thames and Greys Court House and Gardens.
We arrive in Henley-on-Thames mid-morning giving time to explore and take an early lunch. A short drive takes us to Greys Court described as a family home with delightful gardens and an idyllic setting. This is a N/Trust property.
We leave Steyning Fletchers Croft Car Park at 9.00 am and return from Greys Court at 4.30 pm arriving at Steyning at 6.30 pm. The cost is £24.50p per head, £14.50p N/Trust members, and includes coach travel and garden entrance fee. Payment please by 8th June 2018 to Charles.
Pines Garden & Walmer Castle & Gardens.
Our first stop is Pines Garden, St Margaret’s Bay for coffee. This is a small organic garden with beautiful views of the white cliffs and out to sea. We proceed to Deal for lunch and then to the English Heritage run Walmer Castle and Gardens. Built by Henry V111 as a coastal fortress where you can visit the Castle, Kitchen Garden and Queen Mother Garden.
We leave Steyning Fletchers Croft car park at 8.15 am and return from Walmer Castle at 4.30pm arriving back in Steyning at 6.45 pm. The cost is £26.00p per head and includes travel and entrance to the castle and both gardens. Payment please by 6th July 2018 to Charles.
A coach outing to the Wisley Flower Show.
We return to Wisley on their first day of the flower show. This includes the Surrey Sculpture Society Trail, Surrey NAFAS floral displays, special glasshouse displays and the National Dahlia Society Flower Show. There will be trade stands and plants for sale and an opportunity to walk around Wisley well before the first frosts.
We leave Steyning Fletchers Croft car park at 9.00 am and return from Wisley at 4.00 pm. arriving back in Steyning around 5.00 pm. The cost is £19.50 per head, £14.50 for RHS members, and included travel and entrance to the garden.
