You will be invited to book outings any time after the AGM with no deposit required. This gives us an indication of how popular the event will be. All money must be paid 6 weeks prior to the outing and cannot be refunded unless we are able to resell your ticket. If you decide not to proceed with your booking please ring and cancel, it saves Charles another telephone call!
We go on a coach outing to Lewes and the Firle Garden Show.
We drive to Lewes where you are encouraged to visit Southover Grange Gardens and take an early lunch. Then onto visit Firle Place and the Garden Show. You can walk the garden and view the many trade stands and plant stalls.
We leave Steyning Fletchers Croft car park at 9.30am and return from Firle at 4.30pm arriving back in Steyning at 5.30pm. The cost is £18.00 per head and includes travel and entrance to Firle Place Gardens. Southover Grange Gardens are free entry. Payment please by 10th March 2017 to Charles.
We go to Emmetts Garden and Caxton Manor.
Today we go to Emmetts Garden. This is a National Trust hillside garden near Sevenoaks in Kent with all year round features. After lunch in East Grinstead we go to Caxton Manor near Forest Row. This is open under NGS scheme and is a delightful 5 acre Japanese style garden planted with mature Acers, Azaleas and Rhododendrons.
We leave Steyning Fletchers Croft Car Park at 8.45am and return from Caxton Manor at 4.30pm arriving back in Steyning by 5.30pm. The cost is £25.50 per head, £19.00 N/T members and includes coach travel and entrance to Emmets Gardens and Caxton Manor. Please note there is a long drive to walk at Caxton Manor. We go to Bosham open Gardens Day.
Every two years up to 24 gardens in Bosham open there doors for Charity. It is well organised with teas and cakes and pubs do a gardeners lunch! You are given a map to explore at leisure and maybe stroll around the foreshore and admire the wonderful houses.
We leave Steyning Fletchers Croft car park at 9.00 am and return from Bosham at 4.0pm arriving back in Steyning at 5.00pm. The cost is £21.00 per head and is for coach travel and garden rover ticket. This promises to be a wonderful day. Payment please by 30th April 2017 to Charles.
We visit The Home Grown Flower Company and King John’s Lodge.
The Home Grown Flower Company in Mayfield is a privately owned house with compact garden and a cut flower plot in the adjoining field supplying cut flowers and foliage for floristry business. After a morning visit we find lunch in Uckfield. In the afternoon we visit King John’s Lodge. This is a Nursery with a 4 acre garden and small café. It featured in Period Living Magazine in 2015.
We leave Steyning Fletchers Croft Car Park at 9.00am and return from King John’s Lodge at 4.30pm arriving at Steyning at 5.30pm. The cost is £22.50 per head and includes coach travel and garden entrance fees. Payment please by 31st May 2017 to Charles.
A coach outing to Polhill and Lullingstone Castle.
After a leisurely start we visit Polhill Garden Centre just off the M25 near Sevenoaks to explore the huge centre and take lunch. In the afternoon we go to Lullingstone Castle and the World Garden. Guided tours have been arranged for both the Garden and the Castle.
We leave Steyning Fletchers Croft car park at 9.30am and return from Lullingstone at 4.30pm arriving back in Steyning at 6.00pm. The cost is £24.00 per head and includes travel, guide and entrance to the castle and gardens. Payment please by 5th July 2017 to Charles.
A coach outing to Wisley.
We return to Wisley on their Apple Day. You can view the many trade stands and taste the produce, taste the English Heritage apples or wonder through the gardens.
We leave Steyning Fletchers Croft car park at 9.00am and return from Wisley at 4.00 pm. arriving back in Steyning around 5.00pm. The cost is £19.00 per head, £14.00 for RHS members, and included travel and entrance to the garden. Payment please by 6th September 2017 to Charles.
